Pools include the filter system; which consists of a 200lb sand filter and a 1.5hp pump, an entry system like an 'A'-frame ladder or deck ladder, a beaded / printed liner, excavating to level the area for the pool (up to 12"), building the pool itself, maintenance equipment & start-up chemicals. Basically, when we leave, all that's left for you to do is relax and swim!
Actual time on the job is typically a day and then two half-days. The first half-day would be the excavating (or leveleling out the area where the pool is going). Then a day for our guys to come back and build the pool. And then one more visit to cut in the pool and get it running after the pool has filled up.
No! Our above ground pumps will have a 3-pronged grounded plug that will need to be plugged into a receptacle (outlet). They are not designed to run off of an extension cord and doing so can burn up the pump and void the warranty.
Ideally you should keep your swimming pool water level between one-third and three-fourth of the way up on the opening of the swimming pool skimmer. This is the level at which the swimming pool skimmers operate most efficiently.
If the level is higher than three-quarter of the way up on the skimmer, the water moving into the skimmer is going so slow that debris may pass by the opening without being pulled in. If the pool water is so high that it covers the skimmer opening, floating debris can't get in.
If the water is too low the skimmer can bottom out, thereby sucking air into the system which can result in losing the prime (water moving through the system) and possibly result in burning up your swimming pool pump/motor.
